1st National Distinguished Lecture Series on SOCIOLOGY OF SANITATION ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION, PUBLIC HEALTH AND SOCIAL DEPRIVATION 10th January, 2014 Sulabh International Centre for Action Sociology in collaboration with Sulabh International Social Service Organisation has initiated National Distinguished Lecture Series on “Sociology of Sanitation – Environmental Sanitation, Public Health and Social Deprivation”. This is part of the continuing process, which was started in January 2013, when we organized National Conference on “Sociology of Sanitation – Environmental Sanitation, Public Health, and Social Deprivation” in New Delhi, which was well attended by hundred eminent Sociologists from all over India. The objective of holding National Distinguished Lecture Series is to continue a comprehensive dialogue with academia, administrators, and civil society to conceptualise the complex social and environmental issues and to undertake an incisive perspective on futuristic goals and paradigm. The National Lecture will add to the corpus of knowledge and research on sociology of sanitation.
The First of the Distinguished Lecture Series will be held, at 11:00 a.m, on 10th January, 2014 at India International Centre, New Delhi.
